Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition, a new variant of its lifestyle off-road SUV, in India on January 23, 2026. This special edition is offered exclusively with rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configurations across three powertrain options: a petrol-automatic, a diesel-manual, and a diesel-automatic. Introductory ex-showroom prices for the Thar Roxx Star Edition commence at Rs 16.85 lakh.
Powertrain and Performance
The Thar Roxx Star Edition is available with two engine choices. The 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine generates 152 bhp and 320 Nm of torque when paired with the automatic transmission. For diesel enthusiasts, a 2.2-liter engine is on offer, producing 132 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearbox options are available depending on the variant. The SUV also incorporates selectable terrain modes, including Snow, Sand, and Mud, enhancing its versatility.
Thar Roxx Star Edition Design and Exterior Elements
Distinctive exterior updates for the Roxx Star Edition include a piano-black finish for the front grille and 19-inch alloy wheels. The special edition retains several features from the standard model, such as LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED taillamps, and a panoramic sunroof. It is available in four exterior colors: Citrine Yellow, Stealth Black, Everest White, and Tango Red.
Thar Roxx Star Edition Interior and Key Features
Inside, the Thar Roxx Star Edition features an all-black theme, highlighted by leatherette seats with Suede accents. The cabin is equipped with a 26.03 cm HD digital instrument cluster and a 26.03-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system. This system includes Mahindra’s Adrenox connected car technology with Alexa built-in and 83 connected features, alongside wired and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Audio is delivered through a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
