Tata Motors Reveals Refreshed Punch EV Design Ahead of Official Launch

Tata Motors has officially previewed the facelifted version of the Punch EV, with a full reveal scheduled for February 20. The updated electric micro-SUV features a revised front fascia and is expected to maintain its current mechanical specifications and range figures.

Powertrain and Performance

The Punch EV facelift is anticipated to retain its existing technical architecture. Customers can expect the same two battery pack options currently available in the lineup:

  • Standard Range: A 25kWh battery paired with a motor producing 80bhp and 114Nm of torque, offering a claimed range of 315km.
  • Long Range: A 35kWh battery pack delivering 121bhp and 190Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 421km.

Exterior Styling Updates

The visual refresh is headlined by a redesigned front end that draws inspiration from the Harrier EV concept. Notably, the previous connected LED DRL arrangement has been replaced, and the black plastic cladding that previously linked the headlight units has been removed in favor of separate clusters. While the side profile remains consistent with the outgoing model—featuring prominent black wheel arch and side claddings—the rear is expected to receive a connected tail-lamp setup to align it with the latest ICE-powered Punch.

Interior and Technology

The cabin continues to follow Tata\’s contemporary design language, characterized by a dual-tone finish and a focus on digital interfaces. Standard equipment is expected to include:

  • A large touchscreen infotainment system
  • A fully digital instrument console
  • Capacitive touch panels for climate control
  • An inductive wireless charging pad
