BMW Group India has concluded the 2025 calendar year with its highest-ever annual sales volume, delivering 18,001 cars across the BMW and MINI brands. This performance represents a 14 percent year-on-year increase, a growth rate that exceeded the luxury segment average. The company achieved record monthly and quarterly figures throughout the year, culminating in a cumulative sales total of 156,363 units since 2009.
Electric Vehicle Penetration and Infrastructure

A significant driver of the year’s performance was the electric vehicle (EV) portfolio, which saw deliveries reach 3,753 units. This marks a 200 percent increase compared to the previous year, with EVs now accounting for 21 percent of the group’s total car sales, up from 8 percent in 2024. Key contributors to this segment included:
- BMW iX1: Retained its position as the highest-selling premium EV in the Indian market.
- BMW i7: Led volumes within the high-end luxury electric segment.
To support this transition, the group expanded its charging infrastructure to over 6,000 touchpoints nationwide, utilizing tools such as Smart E-Routing and a Charging Concierge service to facilitate long-distance travel.
Segment Performance: SAVs and Long Wheelbase Models
The Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) category remained the largest contributor to the group’s volume, accounting for 60 percent of total car sales with 10,748 units delivered, a 22 percent increase year-on-year. The BMW X1 and X5 were the primary volume drivers in this category. Simultaneously, long wheelbase (LWB) sedans saw a sharp rise in demand, contributing 50 percent of all BMW-branded car sales. LWB deliveries reached 8,608 units, representing a 162 percent growth over the previous year.
Quarterly Results and BMW Motorrad
The final quarter of 2025 (October to December) recorded 6,023 car deliveries, a 17 percent increase over the same period in 2024. This was the highest Q4 volume in the company’s history, aided by seasonal festive demand. In the two-wheeler segment, BMW Motorrad reported 5,841 motorcycle deliveries for the year.

The group executed an aggressive product strategy in 2025, introducing 20 new models across its portfolio. Notable launches included the new BMW X3, the MINI Convertible, and the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure for the motorcycle division. The brand-wise breakdown for 2025 car sales is as follows:
