2026 Honda Africa Twin Range Debuts with Revised Aesthetics

Honda has officially pulled the wraps off the 2026 CRF1100L Africa Twin range for international markets. This mid-cycle update introduces a fresh array of color schemes and graphic packages across the entire lineup, including the base model, the Electronic Suspension trim, and the flagship Adventure Sports variant.

Mechanical Specifications

In terms of performance, the 2026 Africa Twin remains technically identical to the outgoing version. It is powered by the established 1,084cc parallel-twin engine, which produces 102hp and 112Nm of torque. Power delivery is managed through either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), depending on the configuration.

Updated Color Palettes

The visual changes are specific to each variant in the adventure series:

  • The standard Africa Twin and Electronic Suspension models now feature three distinct options: Grand Prix Red, Matt Ballistic Black Metallic, and Pearl Glare White.
  • The Adventure Sports variant is offered in Matt Iridium Gray Metallic and a Pearl Glare White finish. The latter incorporates the signature HRC-inspired Tricolore graphics and is complemented by gold-anodized wheels.

Market Outlook

The Africa Twin was previously discontinued in the Indian market following the implementation of BS6 Phase 2 emission standards. However, the motorcycle is expected to make a comeback in 2026. Unlike the previous sales cycle where only the Adventure Sports trim was available, Honda is anticipated to introduce both the standard and the Adventure Sports versions to cater to a broader range of adventure enthusiasts.
