Honda to Expand Indian SUV Portfolio with Elevate Facelift and ZR-V Hybrid in 2026

Honda Motor Company is advancing its Indian product strategy with the scheduled arrival of two SUVs in 2026. This move is part of a larger roadmap to introduce 10 new models to the domestic market by 2030, a plan that also encompasses the 0 Series α electric SUV.

The Premium Hybrid: Honda ZR-V

Expected to arrive in late 2026 via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, the ZR-V will serve as Honda’s flagship hybrid SUV in India. The 4.56-meter-long vehicle utilizes a 2.0-liter petrol engine paired with two electric motors, generating a combined 184PS and 186Nm of torque. Power is managed through an electronic CVT (e-CVT) gearbox.

  • Performance: Sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.8 to 8.0 seconds.

The Elevate, Honda’s current mid-size SUV contender, is slated for a facelift in the second half of 2026. While the exterior is expected to undergo minor cosmetic revisions at the front and rear fascias, the interior will receive functional enhancements to remain competitive in its segment.

  • Safety and Tech: Retention of the 10.25-inch touchscreen, Honda Sensing ADAS suite, and six airbags.
