Kia India has officially re-launched its “Kia Inspiring Drive (K.I.D)” program, coinciding with the introduction of the new Seltos SUV. This initiative is designed to analyze driver behavior and provide feedback aimed at promoting safer and more responsible driving habits on public roads.
Program Overview
The K.I.D program functions as a safety-oriented driving score system, accessible to users through the Kia Connect application. Its primary objective is to contribute to road safety by encouraging responsible driving behavior and fostering greater customer engagement. The re-launch underscores Kia’s focus on vehicular and road safety, building on its recent milestone of over 5 lakh connected cars sold in India, serving an equivalent number of active users.
Driving Behavior Analysis
Through the Kia Connect app, the K.I.D program offers data-driven insights into individual driving patterns. It evaluates key parameters over a three-month rolling average, including instances of rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, and sudden starts. The system then assigns a driving score, providing users with actionable information to modify their driving style for improved safety and efficiency.
Customer Engagement Features
Beyond individual driving analysis, the program incorporates features designed to enhance user interaction and motivation. Owners can track their progress and participate in community-based leaderboards, allowing them to compare their scores with other Kia users. This competitive element aims to motivate drivers towards smoother and more responsible operation of their vehicles. Users can access the program within the Kia Connect App by navigating to “New Services” and selecting the “Kia Inspiring Drive Program (Driving Score)” option.
