Powertrain and Mechanical Specifications
The XUV 7XO is built on a versatile platform offering five distinct powertrain configurations. Performance is driven by two engine choices: a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 203bhp and a 2.2-liter diesel engine generating 185bhp. Transmission duties are handled by either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. For enthusiasts requiring enhanced traction, the higher-specification diesel trims are available with a torque converter automatic transmission paired with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
Interior Technology and Embedded Services
The cabin architecture is centered around a three-screen setup, supported by a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system designed to utilize the Dolby Atmos integration. In a first for the Indian market, the Sony LIV OTT platform has been embedded at the system level, providing direct access to movies, live sports, and original series in Dolby Vision. Music streaming via Gaana also supports the spatial audio format. Additional interior highlights include ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and a “Boss Mode” for the front passenger seat, which allows rear occupants to adjust legroom electronically.
Safety Standards and Driver Assistance
Safety remains a core focus for the XUV 7XO, which has secured a five-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The SUV recorded 16.03 out of 17 points for adult occupant protection and 41.66 out of 49 points for child occupant protection. The vehicle is equipped with a Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite, seven airbags, and a 540-degree camera system. Standard safety hardware includes an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality and Isofix child seat anchorages.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is positioned in the premium SUV segment with a total of eight trims available. Pricing starts at Rs 13.66 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.92 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the chosen engine, transmission, and drivetrain configuration.
