Tata Motors has updated the Nexon EV lineup by introducing two additional exterior shades—Ocean Blue and Pure Grey—bringing the total color count to six. These new options are specifically available for variants equipped with the 45-kWh battery pack, including the Creative, Fearless, and Empowered trims.
Aesthetic Updates and Color Availability
The new Ocean Blue shade features a teal-like blend of blue and green, paired with a contrasting black roof and pillars for a dual-tone effect. Pure Grey offers a more understated, monochromatic look that emphasizes the vehicle’s sharp body lines and LED lighting signatures. These additions join the existing palette of Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Empowered Oxide, and the Dark edition. Notably, the Empowered Oxide remains exclusive to the flagship Empowered trim.
Powertrain and Performance Specifications
Mechanically, the Nexon EV remains unchanged. The lineup is divided into Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR) configurations:
- 45-kWh Long Range: Features a 106 kW (144 PS) motor, delivering 215 Nm of torque. It achieves a 0-100 km/h sprint in 8.9 seconds and offers a claimed range of 489 km.
- 30-kWh Medium Range: Utilizes a 95 kW (130 PS) motor with the same 215 Nm torque output, reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in 9.2 seconds.
Both versions utilize a liquid-cooled thermal management system. Charging the 45-kWh battery from 10% to 80% takes approximately 40 minutes when using a 60 kW DC fast charger.
Interior Technology and Safety Features
The Nexon EV continues to offer a high level of equipment across its trim levels. Key interior and safety highlights include:
- 12.3-inch cinematic touchscreen infotainment and a digital cockpit.
- Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capabilities.
- JBL premium sound system and wireless smartphone charging.
- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a 360-degree surround-view camera.
- Standard safety kit including six airbags, electronic parking brake, and hill descent control.
