2026 Yamaha Lander 250 Connected Unveiled with Aesthetic and Tech Updates

Yamaha has introduced the 2026 Lander 250 Connected in Brazil, refreshing the dual-sport motorcycle with a new color palette and integrated technology. Priced at R$ 29,290 (approximately Rs 5.12 lakh), the latest iteration retains the mechanical architecture of its predecessor while enhancing its visual appeal and digital connectivity.

Mechanical Specifications and Performance

The 2026 Lander 250 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This powerplant generates a peak output of 20.9 hp and 20.59 Nm of torque, managed by a five-speed constant mesh transmission. The motorcycle is built on a semi-double cradle frame designed for versatility across varying terrains.

Chassis and Off-Road Capability

Engineered for off-road utility, the Lander 250 features a robust suspension setup and specific wheel dimensions:

  • Front Suspension: Telescopic forks with 220mm of travel.
  • Rear Suspension: Monocross swingarm with linkage providing 204mm of wheel travel.
  • Wheels: 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke rims.
  • Tires: Metzeler 80/90 (front) and 120/80 (rear).
  • Braking: 245mm front disc and 203mm rear disc with single-channel ABS as standard.

The bike maintains a curb weight of 156 kg and a fuel capacity of 13.6 liters. A seat height of 875 mm underscores its ergonomic focus for adventure and trail riding.

Design Updates and Technology

The primary visual update for 2026 is the introduction of the Atacama Brown colorway, featuring a metallic brown finish on the high-mounted fender and fuel tank, complemented by red, white, and orange graphics. Existing options like Titanium Grey, Racing Blue, and Amazon Green remain in the lineup. Technological features include:

  • A blackout-style LCD instrument cluster.
  • Bluetooth connectivity via the Yamaha Y-Connect application.
  • Real-time performance data, maintenance scheduling, and location tracking.
  • A 12V power socket for mobile device charging.

Market Context and Potential India Launch

While currently launched in Brazil, the Lander 250 was recently showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in India. Although Yamaha has not officially confirmed an Indian release, the model would theoretically compete in the growing entry-level adventure segment against the Hero Xpulse 210, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, and Yezdi Adventure.
