This new variant, limited to a production run of just 800 units worldwide, is built upon the high-specification Speed Twin 1200 RS platform. It serves as a spiritual successor to the discontinued Thruxton 1200, adopting a similar silhouette and ergonomic setup.
Design and Ergonomics
The Cafe Racer Edition is distinguished by its specific aesthetic and hardware changes aimed at a vintage racing look. Most notably, the motorcycle features clip-on handlebars to provide a more committed riding position. Visual highlights include a bespoke green and silver dual-tone paint scheme, a color-matched headlight cowl, and a tan leather seat with quilted detailing. To emphasize its exclusivity, each motorcycle will be sold with a certificate of authenticity linked to its specific production number.
Performance and Powertrain
Mechanically, the Cafe Racer Edition remains identical to the Speed Twin 1200 RS. It is powered by a 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers 105hp and 112Nm of peak torque. A key feature carried over from the RS is the bidirectional quickshifter, making this one of the few models in Triumph’s heritage line to offer clutchless shifts in both directions.
