JSW MG Motor India has expanded the aesthetic palette for its flagship electric sports car, the Cyberster, with the introduction of a new Irises Cyan paint finish. This update to the MG SELECT portfolio is intended to offer buyers increased personalization for the all-electric roadster, which currently serves as the brand’s performance halo model in the Indian market.
Performance and Drivetrain Specifications
The MG Cyberster is built on a high-performance electric architecture featuring a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. Power is drawn from a 77kWh battery pack that feeds motors located on both the front and rear axles. The combined output is rated at 510hp and 725Nm of peak torque. According to manufacturer data, the Cyberster reaches 100kph from a standstill in 3.2 seconds. The vehicle offers a driving range of 580km, as certified under the Modified Indian Drive Cycle (MIDC).
Expanded Color Palette
The new Irises Cyan shade presents a blue-green hue designed to accentuate the vehicle’s aerodynamic lines. This joins a selection of existing dual-tone configurations available to Indian customers:
- Nuclear Yellow: Paired with a contrasting black roof.
- Flare Red: Paired with a black roof.
- Andes Grey: Paired with a red roof.
- Modern Beige: Paired with a red roof.
Milind Shah, Head of MG SELECT at JSW MG Motor India, noted that the addition of new visual options is part of a strategy to offer greater individuality and a heightened sense of luxury within the brand’s premium vertical.
Interior Technology and Features
The cabin of the Cyberster features a driver-centric layout dominated by a three-display cockpit configuration. This includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster situated behind a flat-bottomed, three-spoke steering wheel, flanked by two 7-inch auxiliary touchscreens. The interior is finished in vegan leather upholstery and includes several premium amenities:
- Bose premium audio system.
- Dual-zone automatic climate control with cabin air filtration.
- Electrically adjustable seating.
- Wireless integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety and Driver Assistance
To support its performance capabilities, the Cyberster is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety technologies. It features Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control. For low-speed maneuvers and parking, the vehicle utilizes a 360-degree camera system to provide a bird’s-eye view of the surroundings.
